Who can be nominated?

To run in the election, a nominee must:

       Be a current PMI AZ Chapter member at the time of the election

       Receive at least three nominations (one self-nomination and two nominations from PMI AZ Chapter members in good standing)

       Agree to serve as a Board Director and accept the Board Contract

 How do I submit a nomination?

Follow the link to the Chapter Elections website page where you can submit your nomination using the "Nominate" button and complete the Arizona Chapter Board Nomination Form.

All individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors must submit a self-nomination to enter the elections process. Advancement in the process requires a total of three nominations, including the candidate’s self-nomination and two nominations from PMI Arizona Chapter members in good standing.

 What criteria are considered?

Nominees are asked to share their background, interest in serving on the board, understanding of the impact board directors have on the PMI AZ Chapter, and experience as a volunteer, board director, or other leader.  In addition, nominees are asked to describe their approach to managing and meeting the time commitments required of a Board Director.  Each nominee is interviewed by the Nominations Committee that scores responses as:

Meets: Nominee demonstrates solid alignment with role expectations and required competencies.

Exceeds: Nominee shows strong mastery and brings added value beyond the role’s core needs.

Future Growth Opportunity: Nominee has foundational strengths and potential, with room to grow into the role.

If more than half of the responses scored are Future Growth Opportunity, the Nominations Committee will work with the nominee to find other volunteer opportunities to support growth and prepare for a future election.

 How do I nominate someone else?

Any current PMI AZ Chapter member may nominate another member. Use the "Nominate" button on the Chapter Elections page and complete the Arizona Chapter Board Nomination Form.
